Music video for Nixer

Choreographed by Tough Boys. From microscopic endings that inhabit our daily lives, to the constant churning of current trend cycles, to the omnipresent threat to democracy across the globe; endings are something that as a generation seems to constantly surround us. This piece is fuelled by a desire to stare into the face of what scares us, what follows us and what we run to willingly, Building a physical and pictorial language somewhere between contemporary and hip hop theatre, we question, "When everything has come to an end, how do we begin again?"

loading... explores the act of building bridges that never reach the other side - a reflection of the limitations of language, the difficulty of truly connecting and the feeling of always just missing each other.

Why are people afraid of being lost ? An exploration of embracing curiosity and not allowing the end result to blind you from the experience.

Trinity Laban has invited Lea to reconstruct a 20 minute section of Yippeee!! her work created in 2006, for a group of BA students as part of their annual Historical Project. Lea will be assisted by the dancer from The Cholmondeleys, Valentina Formenti. Yippeee!!! features music by Steve Blake and costume designs by Simon Corder. Performances at The Bonnie Bird Theatre. Araña by Molly Grainger, This piece is inspired by artworks by Magdalena Abakanowicz and it explores how inhuman the body can become when it is given certain shapes, textures and image to replicate. This goes hand in hand with the articulation of the spine and the relationship we created. As they create tension and allow the audience to feel every unnerving movement.
